Restylane

The Restylane family of dermal fillers are some of the most effective on the market today. Their main use is to add volume and fullness beneath the skin, mitigating the effects of facial volume loss and correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
At LG Aesthetica, we offer the full line of Restylane fillers – each with their own specialized purpose. While some are most effective in dealing with marionette lines or wrinkles along the forehead and cheeks, other variations work best as a lip filler to add volume and definition to the lips.

The main treatment areas for Restylane include:

  • Cheeks & Midface
  • Lips
  • Under-Eye Area or Tear Troughs
  • Crow’s Feet
  • Nose & Mouth Area

How Does Restylane Work?
Restylane is one of the fastest acting dermal fillers around today. Like Juvéderm, another popular dermal filler, Restylane uses a Hyaluronic Acid base. HA is a naturally occurring compound produced by the body to regulate moisture levels within the skin and provide a soft, supple feel and volume. Using a Hyaluronic acid base allows Restylane to be more “compatible” with the skin and seamlessly fill the lost facial volume.

Once Restylane is injected into the treatment area, it fills any depressions and adds hydration overall
Here are some more specifics on each formulation of Restylane.

Restylane Lyft

What Is Restylane Lyft?
As we age, our faces lose volume, especially in areas around the mouth and cheeks. Restylane Lyft is the first and only FDA-approved filler that is specially designed to provide a lift to both the face and the hands!

How does Restylane Lyft Work?
Over time, as a result of aging, the cheeks & midface begin to lose volume – resulting in sagging skin and prominent wrinkles. With targeted injections, Restylane Lyft is specifically designed to add fullness to the cheeks and midface area, which can result in a more natural-looking, youthful appearance.

Restylane for the Hands
Volume loss doesn’t just happen in the face, you may have noticed that as the years go by you will start to see your hands lose their fullness and begin to appear thin and wrinkly – a highly visible sign of aging. Restylane Lyft is one of the only dermal fillers that actually specializes in the treatment of lost volume in the hands.

With each session of Restylane, patients can expect to see results last an average of 6 months at a time.

Restylane Refyne

What is Restylane Refyne?
As skin loses elasticity with age, the lines that run from the sides of your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corner of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines) appear more noticeable.

Restylane Refyne is a specifically formulated hyaluronic acid dermal filler utilizing XpresHAn Technology™ that helps correct these lines for a more natural look to your face.

Hpw Does Restylane Refyne Work?
Because it is used mainly for areas around the mouth, that are highly involved in our facial expressions, Restylane Refyne uses a unique cross-linking pattern within the gel. This cross-linking allows for added flexibility and elasticity within the skin – meaning patients can expect their results to appear far more natural, maintaining normal expression and facial reactions.

Restylane® Defyne

What is Restylane Defyne?
As we age, our will often develop lines running from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corner of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines). These lines have a tendency to be some of the deepest and worst wrinkles along the face, as they are subject to a number of different natural facial movements.

Restylane Defyne, similar to Refyne, utilizes the same XpresHAn Technology™ to correct these deepened lines.

How Does Restylane Defyne Work?
Using the same unique cross-linking of the gel, once injected into the necessary treatment areas (marionette lines & nasolabial folds), Restylane Defyne fills the depressions beneath the skin while supporting your facial expressions and adding additional flexibility in the skin.

Why use Defyne over Refyne? And who is a good candidate?
Each filler in the Restylane family of dermal fillers is specifically engineered and designed to target a specific area of the face.
Restylane Refyne and Defyne are similar in that they target almost the same exact area of the face, however, Defyne is formulated to target the more severe depressions that Refyne simply cannot. An individual should only use Restylane Defyne if their facial volume loss is severe enough to cause deep marionette lines or nasolabial folds.
